　　GREEN BUILDING DESIGN THEORY, METHOD AND PRACTICES

　　Abstaract: Green building are the ones that are: eco-friendly, made from natural resources; Conserves resources, consume comparatively less artificial energy; light, heat, etc., use potential of immense solar light and solar heat. Indian sub-continent, due to its tropical location, has abundance of solar energy; in form of light and heat. We need to harness these in a judicious and appropriate manner for it to be useful to us. Solar Heat:To address such issues, few of the solutions that we generally adopt are：RCC Roof of a building is the most vulnerable part in a building. There is a need to protect building roof from solar heat by providing insulation. Among other vulnerable parts in a building are its walls. Solar light: There is abundance of Sun-light. By proper orientation, building can enjoy appropriate amount of light. These days, there are quite a few products which are addressing one issue or the other individually or severally, to make a building qualify for the attributes of Green Building.
