沙迦与迪拜相邻，其独特的地理位置使这里成为在迪拜工作的外来劳动力的主要居住地。沙迦市内有人造湖泊景观，在其中一个湖泊中央有一个人工小岛，就是湖泊中的村庄所在。村庄内体现了当地传统的图案，同时又极具现代气息。岛上的建筑大部分是几何造型，围绕中央的开放空间分布，带有顶棚的开放区域能有效抵挡当地毒辣的太阳。村庄内多种元素相互融合，强化了周围的自然景色。

Defined by the Rigid Geometry, it is arranged around the central public space and provides the roofed open spaces for protection against Sharjah’s Harsh Climate. The built and the Un-built engulf each other to form a comprehensive public open space providing a plethora of experiences. The detailed intricate egde of the built maximizes the view of the surrounding area. The outer most layer of the landscape integrates the built into the sea, and provides a series of public beaches for people.
