He graduates in Architecture from University of Florence (IT) in march 1989,followed by further studies at Berkley University in San Francisco (USA).

From 1990 to 2000 he works in Luxor (Egypt) with the Archeological Mission of Restoration n° 1064 of the Louvre Museum at the Temple of Ramesse II.

From 1995 to 2007 he also works for the Faculty of Achitecture in University of Ferrara (IT) as Guest Professor of Architectural Restoration Laboratory

In 1989 Gianluca founds his own firm “GLR Architect”. The working group is enriched with various people until 2007 when they constitute FrassinagoLAB,

where he explore ephimeral architectures as exhibitions and temporary expositions, this experience lasts until 2009 forfounding UAINOT.

With his firm he designs several spaces, both architectural, interior and ephimeral: he cooperates for the interior design of a yacht for Christensen & Ship,Portland (USA), in partnership with Giorgio Amnani, he works on many building restorations (such as some private villas in Tuscany) and new architectures, some clothing stores and industrial facilities in Italy and abroad (USA, UAE, Canada, France).

He designs exhibition spaces at the ‘Fuorisalone’(Milan Design Week - off) for Marazzi Group, Corradi Group, Elle Decor (Elle Decor Caffè form 2008 to 2011) and in collaboration with Paola Lenti. He also designs several ephimeral spaces such as the one for Il Casone (Italian Stones) and Budri (Italian Marbles) for the exhibitions “Abitare il Tempo 2010” and “Marmomacc 2010”.

From 2010 Gianluca is the Art Director for Marazzi, main brand of Marazzi Group, the international tile factory, for wich he designs the stand in Cersaie, the annual ceramic exhibition in Bologna (IT) since 2009 and the MADE Expo in Milan (IT) since 2010.

From 2008 he is the Art Director of Corradi Group, for wich he follows showrooms, exhibitions, product design and advertising. With the Corradi’s Pergotenda® Move he wins the Christmust award in 2011and the selection for the “ADI Compasso d’Oro Award”. For Corradi he designs several outdoor furinture collections and Shape a commercial modular system, that wins the “Horeca 24, Innovation of the year 2013” (prize spnosored by the publishing group Il Sole 24 Ore).

Gianluca’s product design also includes an outdoor furniture collection (Glypho), somestone mosaics and a dishes collection for Il Casone.

He always researches new materials and their application in design and publishes for Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Progetti, Airone, Archeologia Viva and other magazines.

In 2012 he decides to enlarge his vision by adding a marketing and communication department and constitutes UAINOT srl of which he is the CEO; Gianluca has finally found the perfect combination for design and communicate ideas and suggestions.

The Guangzhou Pazhouskycrapersis a proposalthatpretends to communicate a family connection betweentwobrothersthrough a traditionalarchitecture, but with a sophisticated contemporarytechnologicaltouch with the DNA concept, consideringthey are locatedinland of an urbanrenewal area for strengthen the economic and financialexistingdistrict in the city.

The projectisbased in the facadestudy, whereweplaywith a contrastbetween scanning geometricalstructure of the façade, composed of a plotdiamondcoated with coloredaluminumforming a triangularsection, and the contraction of glasssurfacesthatswirlupwardaroundeachtower: in this way isemphasized the verticalheight of the buildingsthat assume a sophisticated and technologicalcharacter, butorganicat the same time creating a wanteddynamism.
