| META-Project, founded in 2007 in New York, is a dynamic, creative architecture studio formed by international young designers. On the basis of several distinguished projects, the studio has now relocated to the center of Beijing. META-Project engages in interdisciplinary practice of architecture, urbanism, landscape, and interior/exhibition design to promote mixed value of contemporary architecture. As a culture platform that spans between architecture and urbanism research, META-Project is intended to bridge design and research with multi-disciplinary collaboration that engages different dimensions of the contemporary life, and to develop design projects for promoting the culture of contemporary city. By understanding urban activities as a medium of everyday life, It aims at establish a new relationship between architecture and its social environment. Founding Principle Shuo Wang is an architect and researcher based in Beijing. He studied at Tsinghua University, and received a master’s degree in Architecture at Rice University. He has practiced extensively in New York, Rotterdam and Beijing in the field of architecture and urbanism research. Projects located from New York, Chicago, London, UAE to major South East Asia cities. He had worked for OMA on various projects including RAK Gateway City, BBC London headquarter strategic planning, and MAHA-NAKHON, the tallest tower complex in Bangkok. One of his main interests of research has been the intensifying urban dynamics in contemporary metropolis in China and the new form of collective space that emerges. He has worked on varies publication projects and is actively extending the concept into different medium, including writing, web site, and art installation. META-Project 于2007年成立于纽约，是一家具有创新、超越精神的建筑事务所。工作室现位于北京中心区东四十条，由富有活力的中国及外国年轻设计师共同组成。 META-Project 的设计实践跨越了传统设计的区域划分和职业区分，在过去几年里设计的项目包括城市战略性规划，景观与城市设计，建筑设计，室内设计及展览策划。 META-Project关注当下建筑文化与社会现状，通过对城市和生活现象的上位思考，以超越性的理念提供独特、有效的设计及策略。META-Project 在快速变革的现实以及不断加强的高密度下发展的城市空间，并思考如何找到适合的切入点将城市激活，创造多样化的价值。 Opening Positions: 1. 2-3 Interior Designer Requirement: 1) Full time/ in Beijing 2) Professional degree in Interior Design or Environment Art. 1-year professional experience is required, with construction document experience on interior project. 3) Good design and communication skill, strong team-work ability and responsibility. 4) Good at free hand drawing and presentation. Skillful user of design software (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Sketchup, 3DMax, Rhino, V-ray) 5) Good English communication ability. 2. 1 Assistant Architect Requirement: 1) Full time/ in Beijing 2) Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture/Urbanism. 1-3 years professional experience is required. 3) Good design and communication skill, strong team-work ability and responsibility. 4) Skillful user of design software (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Sketchup, 3DMax, Rhino) 5) Familiar with building code, project coordination ability. 6) Good English communication ability. 3. 1-2 Architecture Interns Requirement: 1) Full time/ in Beijing 2) 3rd year or above in Architecture School. Half year professional experience preferred. 3) Passionate and creative, strong team-work ability and responsibility. 4) Skillful user of design software (AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, 3DMax, Rhino, V-ray) 5) Good at making architecture and interior models 6) Basic English communication ability.
