Senior Interior Designer – Retail & Hospitality
Woods Bagot, an innovative global design firm with 14 design studios in 5 regions around the world, is expanding its Beijing studio and looking for creative and experienced Interior designers to work on retail and hospitality projects.

The role will lead Design in the team working closely with the Project Manager, reporting to studio management.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Lead the Design in the Team.
· Working closely with the projects Management leader and Technical design leader. Collaborate with other global studios.
· Report to Studio Management.

Skills & Qualifications

· Degree holder in interior design or Architecture from recognized institution.
· 5-10 years post-graduate experience in retail and or Hospitality projects
· Strong conceptual design and presentation skills, ability to convey ideas through sketches
· Team skills, able to mentor junior staff and keen in sharing design innovations.
· Strong detailing skills.
· Experience with Branding and Theming in design.
· Familiar with 2D and 3D graphic and presentation software.
· Strong communication skills and conversant in Mandarin and English are preferable

Senior Urban Designer (Project leader)

Woods Bagot Asia is seeking a senior urban designer with varied experience and interest in master plan project. The role will lead the design and team management; carrying out brand defining, large scale, mixed use and sustainable projects.
Report to :
· Regional Urban Design Practice Leader
· Group Urban Planning & Design Director

Responsibilities
· in conjunction with Project Leader, leading the design and managing the team through all stages with project manager.
· A thorough and well developed understanding of national and local planning regulations in various cities a plus
· To design on large scale urban design and master planning projects ranging from mixed-use urban centers to large scale regional planning.
· Has substantial professional / technical skills and applies these to contribute to successful project outcomes
· Responsible for managing a number of important clients through building and developing relationships and identifying new business development opportunities
· Mentor and support project / studio staff to promote skills enhancement and professional development

Requirements
· 5-10 years extensive management of projects, PRC advanced
· Post graduate degree in Urban Design or Planning and Architecture education background is essential
· Developed and respected management skills over teams
· Client and account management with strong communication skill
· Industry knowledge and awareness of trends
· Manage and deliver the project on time, to budget and specification
· Interest and Passion towards Urban Design/Planning projects in Asia is essential

Urban Designer

Responsibilities
· To assist the Project Leader in the management of the design process and in the development of design solutions throughout the concept master planning and control plan documentation.
· Acting as a mentor to other designers within the studio.
· Independent research skills for benchmarking and understanding of all types of property developments.
· Sufficient skills to develop context analysis and design diagrams

Requirements
· 3-5 yrs work experience in the master planning, urban design and landscape advanced
· Urban Design/planning/Architecture/landscape degree
· International project experience advanced
· Industry knowledge and awareness of UD/MP trends
· Deliver the project on time, to budget and specification
· Must be strong bi-lingual (English / Mandarin) user to work with expatriate team and clients in daily basis.
· Computer skills in terms of Adobe package, AutoCad, Office package is a must, 3D skills advanced.

Project Architect/Manager

Responsibilities

· Ensuring that the project is managed effectively and with foresight and maximising profit within the context of other responsibilities.
· Maintain good Client Relationship Management between Woods Bagot and the clients, including after project completion
· Ensuring the client’s requirements needs and wants are met within the terms of our conditions of engagement and fee.
· When appropriate, advising the client on fees and conditions of engagement for sub-consultants, and the establishment of written agreements for their services.
· Ensuring that the project is conducted in a manner be professional and consistent with Woods Bagot’s core management value and Business Plan.
· Reporting regularly to the Management Team on the performance of the project and any variations to the scope of work and the agreed work plan.
· Advising the Management Team immediately in aware of any circumstance that could lead to a claim for non-performance or negligence against Woods Bagot.
· Point of reference within studio for professional / technical advice
· Has substantial professional / technical skills and applies these to contribute to successful project outcomes
· Devotes most time to tactical and operational matters, relating to revenue generation, client service and project management (DL)
· Sets high standards for own performance and the performance of the team in Practice Management standards
· Mentor and support project / studio staff to promote skills enhancement and professional development

Requirements

· 5-10 years international experience and strong China focus
· Extensive management experience of projects to manage and deliver projects on time, to budget and specification
· Strong Industry knowledge and awareness of trends
· Mentoring ability to architectural staff
· Strong communication skills and conversant in Mandarin and English are preferable

MARKETING COORINATOR:
Use your organisation, communication and graphic design skills to prepare bids for this Global design studio.
You are responsible for preparing submissions and coordinating, monitoring and updating the key marketing tools, systems and material. You shall report to Regional Marketing Manager and Studio Head. You shall liaise frequently with the Group Marketing Manager and with the Marketing Coordinators in other offices.

ACTIVITES:

Submissions
· Manage the process and resources involved in preparing marketing materials including: proposals, tenders and PR materials. This process involves writing, editing, review and ongoing evaluation of content. A strong graphics capability is essential (Indesign, Pagemaker, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Acrobat)
· Organising tender ‘How to Win’ meetings
· Maintain a register of submissions and follow up results
Marketing Tools
· Uploading information- project pages, images, news items etc onto intranet and website
· Maintain, update and translate the project pages
· Maintain and update the capability statements
· Manage the process of maintaining the client and projects database, including collecting, editing, updating and entering data
· Maintain, update and translate staff CV’s
· Coordinating internal communications programmes
Marketing Plans
· Coordination and bi-weekly updating of local sector marketing plans and project tracking.
Images
· Coordination of photography
· Duplication, scanning, filing of images
· Upload onto image library
Public Relations
· Organise public relations activities and publicity including events, presentations, speeches, press releases and placement of articles in appropriate media.
· Organising client functions (internal and external) - invitations, catering, name tags.
· Coordinate promotional material/ direct marketing activities.
