同济大学建筑城规学院常青教授当选为美国建筑师学会荣誉会士（Hon. FAIA，全称为Honorary Fellow，College of Fellows, The American Institute of Architects ）。这是美国授予建筑学领域做出杰出贡献外籍专业人士的最高荣誉之一。 记者在美国建筑师学会官方网站（http://aia.org/index.htm）看到，今年共有9名外籍人士当选荣誉会士。常青教授在9人中排名第一。其他8名外籍人士分别来自智利（2人）、荷兰（2人）、斯里兰卡、意大利（2人）和菲律宾等5个国家。 美国建筑师学会主席Marvin Malecha先生日前专门致信常青教授，向他表示热烈祝贺，并热情邀请他出席将于当地时间5月1日下午在旧金山举行的授证仪式。信中还透露，美国建筑师学会拟于2月26日在当地举行全球新闻发布会，公布相关评选结果，介绍当选者的成就。 据了解，上世纪八十年代以来，同济大学先后有冯纪忠教授、罗小未教授和郑時龄教授等三人获此殊荣。 附：AIA网站相关报道（http://www.aia.org/practicing/awards/AIAS075336） Honorary Fellowship The AIA Honorary Fellowship program was developed as the international counterpart to the Fellowship program.
