His knowledge of the professional practice of design is therefore nothing short of a hands-on experience in project managing and value engineering not only design, but also construction-related programs.
He is the Vice-Chancellor of a private university located in the European Union country of Cyprus. The university works in academic collaboration with several tertiary education colleges in England, Kenya and the Middle East to offer top-level qualifications in business, marketing, management and design majors via Approved Practical Learning and Approved Practical and Experiential Learning modules. The university offers degree programs in Interior Design/Interior Architecture, Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Fashion Design.
As such, Prof. Dr. Fleming’s commendable knowledge of the design industry, developing design syllabuses in collaboration with industry practitioners as well as in-house design academics at his very many academic-partner education centres worldwide places him in a valued position to disseminate and share value-added information and knowledge of this creative industry to the masses.
The President of the Institute of Hospitality Management, Ireland (IHMI) an organisation that was founded in 1896, Prof. Dr. Fleming advices on and introduces avant-garde approaches in the training of human resources for the hotel, hospitality and food catering industry. As such, many vocational training programs that are now initiated worldwide, from England, the Far East including Malaysia, to Cyprus, to the Maldives now receive the prestigious endorsement of professional certification from IHMI. Notwithstanding such grand initiatives, Prof. Fleming is also the adjunct President of the Institute of Retail Management and the Institute of Human Capital Management, both incorporated in the United Kingdom.
