Our project portfolio covers every aspect of architecture, ranging from small to large scale projects, research and theory. Currently we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Architect for our Shanghai office. The atmosphere within the office is open, international, multidisciplinary and ambitious, but also friendly with attention to personal development and career planning. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Chinese construction practices and management of civic/cultural and commercial projects in China. Other requirements include excellent graphic representation, effective team leadership, strong verbal and written language skills in Mandarin and English. We expect furthermore: At least 10 years experience as all round Architect in China and/or internationally Excellent communication and organization skills Excellent knowledge of Chinese building codes Excellent technical knowledge and detailing skills Good aesthetic sensibilities Experience in tender and execution phase in China Good management skills in large scale projects Good knowledge of AutoCAD Good knowledge of Rhino Good leadership skills, able to organize workflow for the project teams Good coaching skills and able to motivate people within the teams Applications consisting of C.V. and Portfolio can be sent digitally to asia@unstudio.com 2) Architects for the Shanghai office 建筑师 As an international architectural firm UNStudio is active in the broadest fields of architecture. The atmosphere within the office is open, international, We expect: 5 + years experience as All Round Architect in China and/or internationally Excellent Chinese (Mandarin) and English communication skills Excellent knowledge of Chinese building codes Ability to work independently on design and technical aspects of a project Good Organizational and planning skills Excellent technical skills and sensibilities Good aesthetic sensibilities and design knowledge Able to perform in-depth research of products, materials and construction methods Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop and Illustrator and software relevant for architectural practices Preferably experienced with Digital Project (GT) or relevant scripting / BIM software Applications consisting of C.V. and Portfolio can be sent digitally to asia@unstudio.com 3) Business Development Manager Requirements - Native Chinese, fluency in English - MA/BA Degree in International Business, Real Estate, Design, Communications or equivalent - 5 years+ proven experience in Business Development in the creative industry, real estate, project development - Experience in professional international environment - Highly developed skills in client communications - Hands-on approach - Self-disciplined and confident in a complex international environment - Knowledge of UNStudio’s work - Strong MS Office, Adobe Suite skills preferable Working experience – 5 or more Education - Academic The Business Development Manager is responsible for assessing and reporting on new business potentials and the preparation of prequalification, project scope and fee proposals for Architecture, Masterplanning and Cultural Analysis Projects. To support these primary activities, the Business Development Manager will support the UNStudio partners and associates in the pursuit of project potentials, conduct market research and present analysis of quarterly business development activities. In addition the Business Development Manager will manage day-to-day BD activities in Asia, which include facilitating external and internal communication, processing of proposals, maintaining detailed records and creating marketing materials. Applications consisting of C.V. can be sent digitally to asia@unstudio.com 4) Accountant Key accountabilities: Ensure that financial information is appropriately and accurately reported to the Shanghai and Amsterdam office and recorded and that financial transactions are processed in a timely fashion Assist the Associate Director with the production of the annual budget Maintain financial transaction records and information Produce expenditure reports and regular detailed consolidated management accounts, including financial forecasts and financial narrative to assist the management team Develop and implement core financial controls and systems Produce core and programme income reports Provide analysis and advice on the organization’s financial position Control the balance sheet, including regional office bank accounts and provide cash flow forecasts Monitor income and manage debtors, reporting to the Associate Director on any overdue debts Produce the end of year accounts and work with the auditors to produce final accounts Manage the payroll service We expect: Substantial general accounts experience Experience of budget preparation Significant experience of producing statutory and management accounts, financial and cash flow forecasts Good employment record Extensive experience of using computerized accounts packages Experience of delivering a payroll function Experience of working in an international organization Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent knowledge of financial management systems, controls and procedures Good oral and written communication skills (English and Mandarin), including ability to communicate financial information to non-financial staff Knowledge of foreign currencies and/or working in an international environment Ability to work to defined objectives with minimal supervision Ability to establish and implement financial controls and systems Ability to produce financial reports and analysis Working conditions and salary are according to the Chinese legislation.
