Conceptualized as ‘Idea Generators’, MOD’s explorations are created amidst a democratic ‘studio-like’ atmosphere and progress seamlessly between form, site, object and space. We love to question where the inherent potential in contemporary design lies, and then to disturb the ways they are created or perceived– redefining the world around us in relevant and innovative ways, project by project. In China, we have completed 6 projects for SOHO China, including their latest offering in Shanghai. We are currently working on a 280,000 sqm mixed development project in Beijing, currently under construction that spans facade, landscape and interiors. We are involved across multiple disciplines, genres and scale: interiors, architecture, landscape, signage and master planning. In anticipation of achieving greater milestones in design and as we grow as a firm, our Beijing office is in search of the following positions in the company. Interested parties, please email your resume/portfolio to studio@modonline.com SENIOR TECHNICAL SPECIALIST Job Scope: - Develop design initiatives and concepts； provide input in the areas of construction feasibility and functional design-focused detailing. Produce and control project drawings and documents in various stages of the project - Manage projects in terms of time schedule and technical/construction administration, both internally and externally - Communicate with the technical team (Singapore) in the documentation process. Inspire and provide leadership to other team members in technical knowledge and project management skill sets Requirements: - Architectural Graduate with 5-6 years of working experience in China with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management - Detail oriented, with a big picture perspective to solving design issues. Ability to communicate effectively (both English and Chinese) with clients and consultants to complete the required project tasks and goals under tight schedule - Possess technical knowledge of construction methods, materials and local building codes. Well-versed in computing programmes like AutoCad, Photoshop and Sketchup Please include the following in your email 1. Availability and expected salary JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER Job Scope: - Contribute effectively to the design exploration process through strong rigorous and evolutionary thinking - Work with Design Team to ensure design concepts are applied and executed to architectural, interior, graphical and experiential areas in each project - Participate in all phases of the design process: conceptual, design development & project management, to ensure that design intents are met till completion Requirements: - Architectural Graduate with passion about spatial design and its impact on experiences (fresh graduates can apply but 1-2 years of work experience is a plus) - Possess initiative, independence and team player-abilities； Confident, clear and articulate in communication (English and Chinese) - Skilled in 3D (Physical model-making, 3D Studio Max and SketchUp) and 2D (AutoCad, Photoshop & InDesign) Please include the following in your email: 1.
