Environmental graphics/ signage/ graphic designer标示/平面设计师 – Shanghai

The Graphic Designer will work alongside our Senior Graphic Designer and be responsible for:

· Creating and implementing brand strategy, signage and wayfinding, and environmental graphics in corporate, cultural, public and commercial environments.
· Developing design templates for all materials to enable the entire marketing team to create high-quality materials efficiently
· Creating special graphic elements for marketing proposals and presentations
· Training marketing staff on graphic design and technology as well as the use of new firmwide standards and templates
· Working with studio project teams to make sure that their deliverables reflect a high level of graphic design quality, as well as the Gensler brand
· Coordinating the graphic design efforts for internal special projects such as board meetings, principals meetings, parties, receptions, town hall meetings, poster programs, and training programs

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

· Professional with 5-8 years of experience within the design industry.
· Bachelor of Arts degree, and preferably have a background in Interior Design or Product Design.
· Proficiency in Autocad, 3D Max, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite is a must.
· Additional software skills (Flash, HTML, etc.) is a plus.
· Teamwork: works well as a member of a team, pitches in to help out others
· Good communication in both Chinese and English

We are seeking for a landscape designer to join the growing Master Planning team. The successful applicant must have:

· Landscape design degree (or equivalent)
· Minimum of 2 years working experience

Project Architect 项目建筑师 – Shanghai

The Project Architect will be responsible for:

· Managing, organizing and coordinating project teams and team assignments to complete architectural projects, responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents are in concert with design intent.
· Resolving complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to team.
· Coordinating activity and communication between project team and other disciplines.
· Responsible for project schedules and budgets.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· At least 10 years professional experience.
· Site experience and experience with multi-national design firm preferred.
· A licensed Architect registered either by Chinese or overseas government will be an advantage.
· Knowledge of Chinese building codes, standards and structures.
· Computer skills should include AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp. Revit is a plus.
· Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage teams and projects.
· Should be able to lead a Design Development effort within the studio.
· Strong organizational skills

The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for:

· Conceptual design, design development and construction documents.
· Leading and monitoring interior design team.
· Coordination with technical team.

Architecture Designer 建筑设计师 – Shanghai

The Architecture Designer will be responsible for:

· Working with design team to develop solutions for various types of architecture and master planning projects；
· Producing hand sketch and computer study model for study of design ideas and for final presentation of design solutions；
· Producing CAD drawings for development of design solutions；
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

· 1-3 years related experience in an architectural firm.

Technical Director 技术总监 – Shanghai

Gensler is seeking a management-level Technical Director for its office in Shanghai. The Technical Director should be an experienced senior architect with extensive experience in the technical aspects of design solutions on large-scale, programmatically complex private and public projects, especially high-rise buildings.
The Technical Director will be responsible for:
· Gensler’s Technical Director will be a unique individual, equipped with the background and skills to assist the firm with their goal of producing projects of the highest technical caliber, operating with direct project involvement, and involved with mentoring and motivational leadership.
· The Technical Director will be the leader in the Shanghai office responsible for technology advocacy and should have a sophisticated understanding of the relationship between architectural design and building technology, as well as a conviction that it something doesn’t work technically, then it can’t work architecturally.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· Candidates should have extensive experience with design and delivery of large-scale, programmatically complex projects in the corporate, commercial, and institutional market sectors, especially high-rise buildings.
· Candidates should be articulate and have the ability to work and lead effectively in a team environment. Gensler also appreciates a great attitude, flexibility, and the willingness to take on responsibility.
· The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture. In addition, it requires at least 15 to 18 years of architectural experience.
· Candidates should be licensed architects. In addition, since Gensler places a high priority on sustainable design, LEED professional accreditation is preferred.
· Candidates should be available to travel within and outside the USA and the People’s Republic of China. Fluency or proficiency in languages in addition to English is particularly advantageous.
Specific experience should include:
· Experience working as a collaborator and leader within a multi-disciplinary team environment teaching and inspiring others to strive for technical excellence.
· A portfolio demonstrating completed, relevant projects for which the candidate was directly responsible for the technical aspects of design solutions. Relevant projects include architectural projects for clients in the airports and transit, civic and community, corporate, commercial, education, and mixed-use sectors.
· A track record of developing forward-looking and innovative approaches to the technology of architecture, including developmental technologies such as BIM.
· Experience with management of the project design and delivery process, including interaction with consultants and contractors.
· Extensive knowledge of building materials and construction technology.
· Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contracting procedures, as well as contractual and liability issues.
· Ability to motivate staff through leadership and expertise.
· A commitment to the principles of sustainable design and experience integrating them on specific projects.
· Experience with 2-D and 3-D design and illustration, including proficiency with freehand drawing in a variety of media. Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D MAX (or equivalent), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
· Experience with BIM and Revit.

Librarian 图书管理员 – Shanghai

The Resource Center Librarian is primarily responsible for responding to requests and disseminating information on architecture and interior design trends, products, materials, codes, publications, periodicals； for procuring, updating, cataloging and filing of reference and sample materials and image files in accordance with CSI classifications. The qualified candidate will have knowledge of and experience using a variety of internal and external research and product resources to seek out future trends, review new products and innovations, and to host vender’s presentations.

The Librarian will be responsible for:

· Assisting design staff with research projects using in-house library, outside libraries, product research, new publications of interest, and other information sources
· Representing the firm at industry related events
· Meeting with sales representatives to screen new products
· Coordinating vendor presentations and events
· Maintaining, cataloguing and organizing an up to date Resource Library stocked material samples
· Assisting staff in locating materials and information
· Cataloging and filing new material
· Checking in and processing new periodicals and magazines
· Acquiring new books and codes
· Scanning periodicals for articles of interest
· Managing library assistant and maintaining image file
· Updating the vender directory sharing firm wide
· Establishing and maintaining the digital library
· Be familiar with LEED ratings, able to contribute the material recommendation to the sustainable projects.
