Scope of Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following; • Manage team of individuals and consultants with designing and documenting areas of MEP systems for multiple projects within region. • Support project developers and owners with project review, fee analysis, programming and advice pursuant to technical areas on all MEP systems of hotel development projects. • Maintain client relationships and manage interface of all Diaoyutai/MGMH company engineering and technical assets. • Maintain all project communication and records related to area of responsibility. • Participate and contribute to development and maintenance of various brand standard documents in areas of expertise (MEP). • Provide ongoing technical service support specifically focused on areas of MEP systems and components for hotel development projects. • Assist Director of Design and Construction with normal duties. • Provide advice and management to project teams and owners for: Building electrical systems, building mechanical systems, building automation & control systems, vertical transportation systems, life safety system, information technology, telephony, audio, video and entertainment systems and other MEP systems. Travel: Limited as required in support of specific project needs such as consultant interaction, opportunity analysis and client relationship management. Qualifications and Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience managing the technical aspects on MEP systems associated with the development, design and construction of luxury hotels and resorts, residential and mixed use hospitality projects in domestic and international markets. Other requirements: • Must have a record of success in managing multiple hotel and resort projects, including new builds and renovations on MEP systems while assisting in adequately meeting project budgets, schedule and quality goals. • Proven ability in leading, managing and developing technical services teams and/or project teams comprised of various consultants and in-house operating expertise. • Proven ability to organize, manage, report and conduct day to day project management of integrated design and documentation. • Have depth of knowledge and experience in all relevant MEP disciplines for hospitality projects and experience with value engineering and product review and speculation for luxury hospitality projects. • Experienced in evaluating, selecting and successfully negotiating contracts with general contractors, engineering firms, other MEP consultants and service providers (as customary for projects of similar quality and complexity to the MMH brand) for hospitality projects of significant scale including development and review of scope and cost. • Ability to work effectively, resourcefully, and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment. • Possess strong leadership skills and a pro-active management style. • Capable of exercising sound judgment with superior decision-making and problem-solving skills. • Highly communicative with proven ability to express technical issues to broaden management awareness with limited technical background. Education: Requires advanced degree in engineering (MEP). Certifications/Licenses: None required – engineering registration/license a plus. Scope of Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following; • Manage team of individuals and consultants with designing and documenting areas of technical for multiple projects within region. • Support project developers and owners with project review, fee analysis, programming and advice pursuant to all technical areas of hotel development projects. • Maintain client relationship and all project communication and records related to area of responsibility. • Participate and contribute to development and maintenance of various brand standard documents in areas of expertise. • Provide ongoing technical service support specifically focused on areas of technical engineering and components for hotel development projects. • Prepare correspondence, reports and materials for communication and presentations to clients and head offices. • Assist Director of Design and Construction with normal duties. Travel: Limited as required in support of specific project needs such as consultant interaction, opportunity analysis and client relationship management. Qualifications and Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience participating in the technical aspects associated with the development, design and construction of luxury hotels and resorts, residential and mixed use hospitality projects in domestic and international markets. Other requirements: • Proven experience in the design knowledge of luxury hotel projects in China or internationally during your career. • An ability to review and analyze luxury hotel architectural and fit out designs. • Ability to work effectively, resourcefully, and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment. • Competency with architectural, engineering and design industry terminology and practices. Education: Requires bachelor degree or above in architecture or interior design. Certifications/Licenses: None required – architect registration/license a plus.
