Based in Toronto, the firm is the biggest architectural firm in Canada. World Architecture magazine does the all-around evaluations for the world-famous architectural firms every year, and the firm was the 54th on the list of world-famous architect’s offices. From Vancouver Canada to Shanghai China, including the newly founded office in Beijing, the firm’s success extends well outside Canada’s border. Y+W possesses an enormous team, which is made up of nearly 200 architects, urban planners and interior designers. Not only in holistic urban planning, but also in design and architecture of large public, official, residential, commercial, entertainment and sports buildings etc., Y+W has presented many excellent works to the whole world,. The copartners will join in the design-team to ensure the top quality of the designs. As the design consultants group for the Green Building accredited by the Canadian federal government, Y+W is willing to bring the Green-Concept into China and contribute to the process of China of walking into the age of environment protection. The main projects of the firm were the Canadian Government pavilion at Expo 1967 in Montreal, the Toronto SkyDome (the first retractable roof stadium all over the world), the Canadian headquarters of MOTOROLA. Besides, the projects in China contained the design of the Stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the project of the tender for the Shanghai Opera House, the Qingdao Hotel, the tallest Building with 48 stories in Qingdao, and the planning and design project of the resident & hotspring hotel in Yangjiashan, Sichuan.
