　　由于项目管理在经济发展中扮演了举足轻重的地位，国家已将项目管理人才的培养上升到战略高度。《国家中长期人才发展规划纲要（2010-2020）》强调：我国要培养一批项目管理的专门人才。PMI也一直在致力于为中国培养更多的项目管理专业人士（PMP），按国际公认的项目管理标准来管理项目。目前中国已有超过90万人接受了项目管理的培训，PMP人数已超过5万。（注：中国已成为除美国之外拥有PMP最多的国家）。这些PMP已支持许多大型项目顺利完工，如川气东送、广州亚运会等。

Welcome to PMI (China) Congress 2012

With broad support from every industry and field, PMI (China) Congress has been convened annually for two consecutive years since 2010. Each year thousands of attendees were attracted to come, leaders including PMI Chair of Board of Directors, President/CEO and Chapter leaders from Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan showed up, as well as many senior managers and project management experts from State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp.), etc. Precious project management experiences were shared onsite. Attendees expressed appreciation to the Congress in that it let them have a glance of advanced PM conceptions and inspired them in their work.

From the statement in the government paper “Outline of the National Medium and Long-Term Talent Development (2010-2020)” that China is going to cultivate professional talents on project management, it is clear that China has raised the importance of project management professional cultivation to a strategic level, knowing that project management plays an essential role in economy development. To contribute to that goal, PMI has been striving for training more Project Management Professionals (PMP®) for China and promoting utilizing our global recognized project management standards in projects. Currently there are in China over 900,000 people received PM training, and PMPs more than 50,000 (China has become the country with the most PMPs aside from the United States). Many of these PMPs took positions in a variety of China’s mega projects such as Gas Pipeline from Sichuan to China Eastern Region, Guangzhou Asian Games and so on, and played their parts in the success of these projects.

In order to provide the latest updates in the world of project management, PMI (China) is going to hold the third Congress on 15 and 16 September, 2012 in the China National Convention Center in Beijing. As the Congresses was held before, this time we also will prepare for you the most resourceful events and the most coveted communicating opportunities to help improve your project management capabilities. The most recent researches and information will be released, plus job positions offered by well-known enterprises from home and abroad. It’s a great career platform for both PMPs and companies.
